In the past week I've acquired a good number of hits from Facebook. I have no idea why. I don't have an account with them. I checked with my kids and none of them have linked me.
This is the first time I've seen FB in my referring URLs and sites. The only thing I can think of is that someone liked my blog enough that they chose to share me. Since I don't "do" Facebook I haven't a clue about how it all works and if there might be another reason FB is showing up in my stats.
Anyone have any thoughts?

I think you nailed it. Someone linked to a post on your blog to "share" it, and that person's friends clicked the link. Facebook is very popular among the expats, and there are a few Facebook groups that apply particularly to the community.
ReplyDeleteYou are both correct. I have a FB account, but use it so sporadically that, when I do, nobody seems to notice! Boo hoo, nobody likes me...
ReplyDeleteWell, now I'm very curious to know who shared me. J&A (which one of you does the writing?) if I was on FB, I'd follow you there. Since I'm not, I stalk you via your blog. ;-)
ReplyDeleteJ does all of the writing with occasional input from A. I'm so glad that you would be my FB friend, but I can't recommend it. Such a colossal waste of time, but please don't tell the few FB friends I have that I said that... (they would probably say the same about blogging.)
